Description

A unique advantage of Concrete Screw EUS2-HF is the third-party approved possibility of reuse in temporary installations. By reusing the screw, the installation becomes more durable and cost-effective. Before each reuse, the thread wear is checked with Essve's test sleeve for EUS2. The easy disassembly that enables reuse of the screw - is also an advantage when the building component has reached its intended service life. The screw is also suitable for permanent installations where steel or wooden parts must be securely attached to concrete, for example stair railings or suspension cables. The screw is CE marked and approved according to ETA (Option 1) for installation in both cracked and non-cracked concrete, which ensures its versatility and reliability in various applications. The smallest dimension in the range 7.5(6) has a separate ETA for installation in hollow concrete.

Essve Concrete Screw EUS2-HF has a hexagonal head with flange and is made of specially hardened steel with bright zinc plating (C1), a suitable surface treatment for heated environments and indoor use. The screw's thread provides quick installation and high load values. The induction hardened tip easily cuts threads in both soft and hard concrete (C20/25 – C50/60), while the ductile shank reduces the risk of damage to the steel at high tightening torques or when the drill hole is not completely perpendicular.

Concrete Screw EUS2-HF is also available with Zinc Flake surface treatment for extra corrosion protection, making it suitable for more demanding environments. For really demanding environments, there is also a stainless steel version. Please note that the stainless steel screw is not third-party approved for reuse. The Essve Concrete Screw EUS2-HF is assessed in the Building Product Assessment with the Assessment Totally Accepted. The Essve Concrete Screw EUS2-HF is a high-performance screw that is installed quickly and has high load values. The screw is designed for permanent and temporary installations where reliability is crucial. Common temporary installations are guardrails and wall braces.

The first value specified in the screw dimension is the external thread size and the value in brackets indicates which drill bit to use when pre-drilling. For example, Concrete Screw EUS2-HF 10.5(8) means 10.5 external thread size and 8 means that you should use an 8 mm drill bit. Clean the hole after drilling or drill deep enough so that drill chips do not prevent the correct installation depth. For optimal installation of the concrete screw, it is recommended to use an impact driver or nut driver. Unlike, for example, concrete expanders, the EUS2-HF Concrete Screw does not require a specific tightening torque to ensure the fastening. When the screw head reaches the fastening element, the installation is complete. Avoid overtightening the screw by not exceeding the torque specified on the packaging.
